Saturday Primetime - BTH TV

8:00 - 9:00PM Nun the Wiser; Iyari Limon, Linsey Bartilson, Harold Gould, Mary Beth Peil, Sean Maher, Gregory Sierra

Iyari Lymon plays Sister Maria Gonzales, a young nun who just can't stay away from her other calling, crime-solving detective. The daughter of local police chief Raul Gonzales, (Sierra), Maria can smell a good mystery from a mile away, and she often drags fellow nun, Sister Elizabeth (Bartilson) , along on her crook-busting capers. Sean Maher plays anxious rookie priest, Father Nathaniel, and veteran character actors Harold Gould and Mary Beth Peil round out the cast as Monsignor Lions and Mother Abigail respectively.


9:00 - 10:00PM Follow Me; Jessica Biel, Nick Wechsler, Christopher Wiehl, Brian Dennehy, James Morrison, Brooke Langton

Undercover cop Mark Clayton (Wechsler), rookie reporter Jessie Parker (Biel) and FBI agent Bryce Cooper (Wiehl) form the perfect love triangle in this action-packed comedy/adventure series. With a rivalry that began way back in elementary school, Clayton and Cooper have been trying to outdo the other and win Jesse's love for 20-odd years. Feminist Jesse has other ideas, though, forgoing romance in favor of her career, as she sets her sights on winning the Pulitzer prize by the age of thirty. Brian Dennehy plays Big Ben Parker, Jesse's father and editor of the Tribune Star where Jesse is employed. James Morrison & Brooke Langton round out the cast as Detective Captain Gerlad Joiner (Clayton's boss) and Deputy Director Trisha Tomlinson (Wiehl's boss).


10:00 - 11:00PM Orpheus Jones; Don Swaby, Bill Bellamy, Hal Williams, Charles Robinson, Georg Stanford Brown, Chris Makepeace, Gina Torres, Philip Baker Hall, Walt MacPherson

Don Swaby plays jazz trumpeter and part-time PI Orpheus Jones in this stylish, noir series based in "Brilliant Corners," a jazz club located in1950s Harlem. Bill Bellamy plays club manager Booker Brown, Orpheus' best friend and main street contact. Chris Makepeace plays Andy "Anglo" Lockhardt, a brilliant saxophonist constantly battling a heroin addiction. Veterans Hal Williams, Charles Robinson & Georg Stanford Brown co-star as Orpheus fellow musicians - bassist James Drinkwater, drummer Calvin Hubbs & pianist Yusef Malik. Gina Torres plays Verlinda, Malik's wife, who is trying despertately NOT to have an affair with Orpheus. Philip Baker Hall plays police captain Lonnie MacIntyre, a no-nonsense yet sympathetic ally with the NYPD who constantly tries to negotiate peaceful coexistence between Jones and Detective Sgt. Ray Lilly (MacPherson) a corrupt, racist goon.

Wednesday Night

When Lexis Carter (Candace Bailey) runs off to join a religious cult, her boyfriend (Milo Ventimiglia) and best friend (Julia Whelan) decide to infiltrate the cult themselves and rescue her. Soleil Moon Frye and Alexis Denisof play high-ranking cult members Arachne and Orpheus. Sharon Lawrence co-stars as the cult's High Priestess, Hecate, and David Cassidy returns to primetime network television as the cult's prohpet and messiah, Apollo Brimstone.


9:00 - 10:00PM Holy Orders; Scott Bairstow, Bruce Boxleitner, David Keith, Garcelle Beauvais

Father Greg MacIntosh juggles faith and duty as Chaplain at an Army base in war-torn Iraq. Boxleitner plays his by-the-book commanding officer, Colonel Raymond Banks. Keith co-stars as saber-rattling Captain Mark Griffith. Garcelle Beauvais rounds out the cast as State Department attache Shawna Brookings.

10:00 - 11:00PM Abraham’s Lot; Lance Henrikson, Evan Rachel Wood, Eric Johnson, Geoff Stults, Melissa Leo, Isabella Hoffman, Maureen Flannigan, Zeljko Ivanek, Keith Szarabajka, many others

Ex-Civil War veteran, ex-gunslinger, lawman & bounty hunter - Nehemiah Abraham (Henrikson) gave up his bloody life in 1875 to become a devout Mormon and family man. Five years later and settled on the outskirts Providence, Utah, Abraham must contend with the trials and tribulations of patriarchy, child rearing and plural wives. Isabella Hoffman plays Sarah, Abraham's first, pre-Mormon wife of 25 years who has had some trouble adjusting to her new faith and polygamous household. Melissa Leo costars as Rebecca, Abraham's second wife, a Kentucky "wildcat" noted for her fiery temper, caustic wit and talent with knives and guns. Evan Rachel Wood plays Elizabeth Roberts, Abraham's young newlywed bride who feels out of place in her new home, forced to deal with step-children much older than herself in addition to a strong physical attraction to Abraham's son, Jeremiah (Stults). Abraham's other grown children are played by Eric Johnson and Maureen Flannigan. The cast is rounded out by Zeljko Ivanek as town elder and father-in-law Jacob Roberts. Keith Szarabajka is also featured as zealous town constable and Dannite, Phineas Whitlock.


Thursday Night

Veteran Stand-Up comic Bobby Slayton plays Bobby Bridges, an abrasive, loud-mouthed, assembly-line goof off who suddenly - through a madcap series events - finds himself appointed chairman & CEO of Fairlane Motors, one of the Big Four automakers. David Hyde Pierce plays his nemesis and heir to the Fairlane legacy, Bryce Fairlane. Ethan Phillips plays Lazlo Constantine, Fairlane's head of accounting. Ryan Reynolds plays Brian Jameson, Bobby's best friend and former assembly-lineman turned VP of Sales & Marketing. Alicia Witt co-stars as Belinda Marx, Bobby's no-nonsense executive assistant.


8:30 - 9:00PM 24-7; Majandra Delfino, Bryce Johnson, Sinbad, Markie Post, Nora Dunn, Kel Mitchell, Angela Watson, Jimmy Brogan

The adventures and misadventures of Sammys Restaurant, open 24 hours and 7 days a week. Majandra Delfino plays Charlie Walters, a young single mom with aspirations as a musician who finds herself waiting tables to make ends meet. Bryce Johnson is cocky cook and ladies man Travis Harper. Sinbad plays Lorenzo, head cook. Kel Mitchell plays Kel the dishwasher. Markie Post and Nora Dunn play Roxanne and Debbie, Charlie's fellow waitresses, and Angela Watson plays Qari Clark, hostess. Jimmy Brogan rounds out the cast as Jimmy Bergman, the restaurant's likeable but befuddled manager.


9:00 - 9:30PM Duke; Rick Ducommun, Delane Matthews, Robert Walden, Casey Sander, Gerald O'Loughlin, Cedric the Entertainer

Rick Ducommun stars as Rick "Duke" Manley, the obnoxious host of "Duke's Drive Time," a local radio call-in show centered in Cleveland, Ohio. Delane Matthews plays Carey Markovich, Duke's co-host and sparring partner, a former school teacher and happily married mom. Casey Sander plays outspoken "Eye in the Sky" chopper pilot Casey Kilgore. Robert Walden co-stars as anal retentive newscaster Jeff Grimes. Cedric the Entertainer and Gerald O'Loughlin round out the cast as Duke's producer, Marvelous Marvin Adams, and station manager Lucas Hartwell.


9:30 - 10:00PM Rocky Road; Scott Valentine, Jewel Staite, Jayne Brook, Frank Bonner, Dan Frischman, Darryl M. Bell

Scott "Rocky" Rhodes was once lead guitarist for the semi-successful heavy metal band Last Rites. Now he stocks shelves on the graveyard shift at the local Mega Mart. Jewel Staite plays Holly Juniper, a star-struck admirer of Rocky's who grew up listening to her dad's heavy metal LPs. Jayne Brooke co-stars as the no-nonsense nightshift supervisor, Grace Bellows, who continually tries to get Rocky fired only to be thwarted by Holly. The cast is rounded out by fellow workers Frank (Bonner), an obnoxious would-be womanizer; Alvin (Frischman), the shy bespectacled butt of Frank's pranks; and Dante (Bell), a black militant intent on unionizing the workers and fighting "the man" in all his earthly incarnations.

10:00 - 11:00PM DWB; Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, David Hartman, Tim Reid, Mary-Margaret Humes, Paula Jai Parker, Jon Seda

A medical drama set in the far-flung corners of the globe, DWB (Doctors Without Borders) chronicles the adventures of a crisis response team headed by vetrean doctors Pomeroy (Hartman) and Davis (Reid). Josh Brolin plays Kent Xavier, the brash new "kid" intent on saving lives and the world to boot. Mary-Margaret Humes plays veteran trauma nurse Kate Dunlap, a woman running away from mounting problems at home. John Seda plays male nurse Tony Panzenella, a hot-headed adrenaline junkie with a chip on his shoulder. Paula Jai Parker costars as Cherise Moore, top graduate from Johns Hopkins and third generation doctor who suffers from anxiety, chronic fatigue and manic-depression. Morena Baccarin rounds out the cast as Brazilian specialist Maria Setta, a devout Catholic with radical politcal ideas.


Friday Night

The comic mis-adventures of teen psychic Lily Holmes and her unsuspecting family & friends.


8:30 - 9:00PM Oh, Brother; Lalaine as Lucy Cortez (Still awaiting final casting)

Lucy Cortez has done EVERYTHING to win the attentions and affection of Brad Stockton, the most popular boy in school. Unbeknownst to her, however, Brad's divorced mother and Lucy's divorced father have met, fallen in love, and decided to get married. All this is announced on the same day that Brad's best friend, Pete, has assured Lucy that Brad is FINALLY going to ask her out. Suddenly Lucy and Brad go from "hot item" to step-siblings. OH, BROTHER what a mess.


9:00 - 9:30PM Northlake High (Still awaiting casting)

High school sophmore Biff Cooper and his friends Gizmo, Fake & Ninja have Northlake High School completely under control. Operating a system of secret tunnels and passageways right under the noses of Principal Rosetta Stone and Security Chief Carlton Bronson, Biff & Company steal test papers, forge hall passes, and even arrange "day vacations" for their fellow students. Combing Ferris Bueller's Day Off with Hogan's Heroes, Northlake High is every kid's fantasy come to life.

9:30 - 10:00PM On Thin Ice; Emily Hart (Still awaiting final casting)

Emily Hart stars as Tracy Mills, a talented ice-skater who might just make it to the Olympics if she can follow the strict regimen of her coach, Ilyana Porkova, and stay one step ahead of Rhonda Rataczak, her scheming arch-rival. To make matters even worse, her jealous boyfriend, Steven, wants "equal time," and her pairs partner, Josh, is enamored with her, too. With the help and support of her family and friends, though, Tracy is determined to see her dreams come true.


10:00 - 11:00PM Doppelganger; Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (still awaiting final casting)

After passing out at a high school party, Amanda Mackie wakes up one month later to find that she has gone from popular "good girl" to notorious "bad girl" in four short weeks. At least that's what everyone is telling her - her parents, friends, teachers, the police. She even has a therapist now. The trouble is Amanda doesn't remember ANYTHING that happened, and she's postive that she NEVER did any of the things she's been accused of. Yet, she sees the evidence in black and white - photos, videos, handwritten notes. Something strikes her as terribly wrong, though, when she notices a birthmark on the back of her neck in one photo, a birthmark she doesn't possess. Convinced that she's been victimized by an "evil twin," Amanda becomes obsessed with investigating every last detail concerning her four "missing weeks." Naturally, her steadfast denial leads everyone to believe she truly has gone over the edge.

Monday & Tuesday Night Fantasy TV schedule

Monday Night

8:00 – 9:00PM The Cumberland Gap; Harry Hamlin, Fred Koehler, Robert Conrad, Marin Hinkle, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, George Dzundza

This heart-warming and oft-times controversial family drama deals with three generations of Cumberland men: Duke, the gruff belligerent patriarch (Robert Conrad); Clay, the prodigal son and mega-movie star (Harry Hamlin); and Daniel, the introverted yet wildly creative teenage grandson (Fred Koehler). Marin Hinkle co-stars as Koehler’s neurotic co-dependent mother, Constance, a former one-night stand of Clay’s, who desperately longs to win Clay’s heart and bring together the Cumberland men to create the family she never knew as a child. Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Saylor Moore, a classmate of Daniel’s who also happens to be an up-and-coming fashion model/actress as well as Daniel’s unrequited love interest. Things grow even more complicated as grandpa Duke romantically pursues Constance, Saylor makes moves on dad Clay, and Clay enjoys dalliances with star-struck fans of all ages and genders. All the while, Daniel observes every details, which he then relates to his bemused therapist, Dr. Leonard Banks (George Dzundza).


9:00 – 10:00PM Hard Million; Host – Stone Cold Steve Austin

Each week, a team of six contestants band together to steal $1,000,000 from a heavily guarded vault. The team is assisted by a variety of guest experts who help them formulate a plan and acquire the gadgets needed to pull off the job. The last half-hour of the show is then devoted to the heist itself, and team members can be “killed,” captured or otherwise eliminated as the action progresses. If the team pulls it off, all surviving members get to split the loot.

10:00 – 11:00PM Sleepwalker; Perry King, Stacey Dash, Horace Yulin, Angie Everhart, Susanna Thompson, Brie Larson

After legally dying for fifteen minutes during a brutal assault, college history professor Kenneth Vincent (Perry King) awakes to discover that his consciousness can leave his body every night as he sleeps. In his invisible disembodied form, Professor Vincent decides to investigate the seemingly random act of violence that resulted in his assault, the murder of his wife, Claire (Susanna Thompson), and the torture-rape of his now traumatized teenage daughter, Carey (Brie Larson). While pursuing the bad guys, Professor Vincent continually sees Claire’s ghost who silently puts him on the trail of other unsolved murders. Vincent, in turn, brings these crimes to the attention of skeptical rookie detective, Tanya Walker (Stacey Dash). Further complicating matters is Cassandra (Angie Everhart), a fellow “sleepwalker” who continually tries to seduce the professor into using his powers for nefarious purposes. Horace Yulin co-stars as Dr. Lucius Jeremiah, the mysterious and vaguely sinister dean of the history department.


Tuesday Night

8:00 – 8:30PM Carly; Carly Pope, Shawnee Smith, Joe Penny, Ron Liebman, Patrick Warburton, Andrew Bilgore
Carly Pope stars as Carly Mcmasters, weather girl for WKCY in Kansas City. Although loved by thousands of fans and viewers, Carly just can’t find Mr. Right in her real life. Thus, she spends her nights off going through a succession of blind dates culled from matchmaking family members and well-meaning friends, as well as internet dating sites. Shawnee Smith costars as nymphomaniacal newswoman Kay Benson, and Joe Penny plays egomaniacal veteran anchor Brock Carlson. Rounding out this ensemble cast is station manager Marvin Hempleman (Liebman), former pro hockey player turned sportscaster Lou Louis (Warburton), and nebbishy producer Oliver Dingle (Bilgore).


8:30 – 9:00PM Authors; Nicholas Brendan, Sam Jones III, Jon Heder, Robin Tunney, Kelly Martin, Chiaki Kuriyama, Alan Ruck, Linda Lavin, Gabrielle Charteris

A ragtag conglomeration of struggling young writers pay the rent by working in Authors, a trendy, upscale New York City bookstore. Nicholas Brendan is Nick, a sarcastic transplant from the Midwest; Sam Jones III is Deron, talented and street smart ; Jon Heder is Thaddues, a goofy eccentric; Robin Tunney is Nikole, goth and bitter; Kelly Martin is Beth, wholesome, nurturing and neurotic. Chiaki Kuriyama is Jo, a gifted foreign exchange student learning about life in America. The cast is rounded out by sadistic store manager Dale Pfeifer (Ruck), failed author turned no-nonsense assistant manager Qari Quarrells (Charteris), and flighty dilettante and store owner Deidre Vance (Lavin)


9:00 – 9:30PM 2 to 1; Joshua Jackson, Tamara Mello, Mercedes McNab, Wayne Knight, Jane Sibbet

Zack Jennings (Jackson) has been dating Hillary Snow (McNab) for three months, yet he has never been to her place. He finally shows up one day to find she is living with her bi-sexual lover, Cindy (Tamara Mello). When Zack and Cindy hit it off, Hillary finds them together in bed, jumps in, and proposes a three-way relationship. Wayne Knight plays Zack’s leering best buddy, Hank, and Jane Sibbet rounds out the cast as the trio’s landlord, a sex-starved fundamentalist Christian who does everything in her power to split up the triad and get Zack for herself.


9:30 – 10:00PM Larger Than Life; Nathan Fillion, Christina Applegate, Bill Fagerbakke, Keegan Connor Tracy, Chad Everett, Suzanne Pleshette, Cynthia Daniel & Brittany Daniel

Famed porno actor Kyle Patterson Jr. aka Rocky Everhardt (Fillion) retires from “the biz” to move back home, settle down, and help his straight-laced, ailing father Kyle Sr. (Everett) run the family hardware store. Pleshette plays Natalie, Kyle Jr.’s open-minded free-spirited mother who wishes to mend the rift between father and son before Sr. passes on. Bill Fagerbakke co-stars as Neal, Kyle Jr.’s dimwitted boyhood friend who works in the hardware shop alongside Kyle Sr. Christina Applegate plays Jillian, Neal’s little sister, and Kyle’s high school sweetheart that will now have nothing to do with him. Cynthia and Brittany Daniel play Katie & Kelly, Jillian’s younger twin sisters who are constantly trying to get Kyle in bed. Keegan Tracy plays Wendy, Jillian’s shy best friend who always had a thing for Kyle in high school but never confessed her feelings.


10:00 – 11:00PM Stiletto; Charisma Carpenter, Thom Bray, Danny Nucci, Ronnie Cox, Joana Bacalso, Joan Pringle

Social Worker by day, Avenging Angel by night – Harper Kennedy aka Stiletto (Charisma Carpenter) hunts down abusive men and other misogynists who slip through the cracks of the system. Assisted by her tech-wiz brother Barry (Thom Bray), Harper must stay one step ahead of the LAPD, specifically Captain James Urick (Cox), Detective Raul De Souza (Nucci) and their vigilante task force. Joanna Bacalso plays Venetia, Harper’s live-in lesbian girlfriend, an actress/model who does not know her lover’s secret identity. Joan Pringle plays Grace Moore, Harper’s suspicious boss.

A fellow blogger and longtime friend inspired me to try my hand at creating my own "fantasy" primetime network television schedule. Needless to say, none of these programs are real; they are just the product of my over-active, pop-culture-obsesses imagination. Sunday Night

7:00 – 8:00PM Dying To Live; Host – Van Williams
In this fact-based series inspired by “Unsolved Mysteries” & “America’s Most Wanted,” host Van Williams narrates dramatic reenactments chronicling the exploits of persons who choose to fake their own deaths. In each vignette, the viewer gets inside the minds of both the perpetrators as well as the lawmen and investigators who unravel the truth. At the conclusion of every episode, Williams outlines the details and clues concerning a celebrated case of suspected death faking: Bruce Lee, Elvis Presley, Jim Morrison, Andy Kaufman, etc.

8:00 – 9:00PM Fugitive Family; Gil Gerard, Stepfanie Kramer, David Gallagher; Michelle Trachtenburg, Meredith Dean, Chris Noth, Peter Coyote
In this suspenseful family drama, Gil Gerard plays Sam Hilliard, a divorced father who is framed for the murder of his ex-wife’s second husband, Chris Noth. In a desperate effort to avoid imprisonment and clear his name, Hilliard kidnaps his ex-wife (Kramer) and their children (Gallagher, Trachetenburg and Dean), and then forces them to accompany him across country posing as the “all-American” family while he searches for the real killers. Peter Coyote also stars as Federal Marshall John Pershing, the man in charge of bringing Gerard to justice.

9:00 – 10:00PM D’Angelo; Peter Onarati, Emma Caufield, Peter Mark Richmond, Mel Stewart
Prowling the back alleys and side streets of Carson City, Nevada, Peter Onaroti plays ex-cop and recovering gambling addict turned gumshoe Paul D’Angelo. Employed by millionaire lawyer Bryce Stanton (Richmond), D’Angelo must work pro bono until he pays off the $1,000,000 he owes Stanton’s firm in outstanding debts. Caufield stars as Stanton’s daughter, Stacey, an idealistic law school student with a penchant for talking her father into taking “no win” cases. Mel Stewart co-stars as Captain James Oliver, D’Angelo’s ex-partner and long-suffering contact with the local police department.

10:00 – 11:00PM Thoroughbreds; Heather Locklear, Amy Acker (the shy bookkeeper), Laura Prepon (the headstrong red-head), Danielle Fishel (the disinherited trust-fund brat), Kat Dennings (the sensitive suicidal poet), Haylie Duff (the free-spirit surfer girl), Wilfred Brimley, Bruce McGill
Spun off from its 9PM lead in, D’Angelo, Thoroughbreds chronicles the continuing adventures of Amanda Livingston, ex-NSA operative turned Nevada whorehouse operator. After capturing her sister’s killers and saving The Thoroughbred Ranch from foreclosure, Amanda has decided to retire from the spy life, honor her late sister’s wishes, and help her father (Brimley) run the family business. Duty calls, however, when Amanda’s old boss, AJ Davenport (McGill), convinces her to use the house of ill repute as a cover for a counter-terrorism unit. Training the Thoroughbred’s girls as junior intelligence operatives, Amanda and her crew mix ecstasy with espionage in this sexy, stylish suspense drama.
